Appointments

We see patients by appointment only.  Routine and annual appointments are generally scheduled a number of weeks in advance.  Urgent needs can be accommodated within a day or two, and true emergencies are seen immediately.  If an urgent or emergency visit is necessary, you may be seen by someone other than your usual health care provider.

At your first appointment we will review your complete medical history and perform a complete examination.  For a first pregnancy visit, this will also involve a discussion of many pregnancy-related issues.  We encourage the presence of the baby's father at these and all prenatal visits, and the presence of other children at subsequent, but not at the first, somewhat long, prenatal visit.  We strongly encourage the presence of the husband at infertility consultations, and at least one family member at pre-operative consultations.  A chaperone is available on request for all exams.

Although we work very hard at running on time, an OB/GYN practice is full of urgent and emergency problems, and even though we leave time in our schedules to accommodate such problems, we will sometimes be unavoidably late.

Please remember that your appointment time is valuable.  If you are unable to make your appointment, please let us know with at least 24 hours notice so we may schedule someone else that needs care.  We reserve the right to charge for missed appointments without 24 hours notice.  You will receive an automated appointment reminder two days before your visit.

What to Bring With You

We ask that you bring your insurance card and photo ID with you to every visit.  If you have previous medical records, please bring them as well or have them mailed to our office.  Your provider will also need a list of all your current medications including the dose and the times you take them.

Your Registration Process

Please plan to arrive to your appointment 15 minutes early to complete the registration process.  You may download our registration forms under the "Patient Forms" section, complete them and bring them with you. These forms are also available in the office.  You will also be asked to sign our HIPAA Acknowledgement, as required by law, so that you are aware of our privacy policies.

Your Payment

Please be prepared to pay your deductibles, co-pays, co-insurance or any other amounts due at the time of your visit.  We accept a variety of payment options including Cash, Check, MasterCard, Visa or Discover.  Please contact our billing office should you have any financial questions or concerns at (585) 225-1580 option 5.

Prescription Refills

Requests for prescription refills are renewed during normal office hours and can be faxed to our office at any time.  In some instances, we may require that the patient be seen in our office prior to the medication being refilled.  Please allow at least 24 hours for your request to be processed.
